We took three weeks in the spring of 1998 and tooled around Palestine, Israel and Jordan. We were considering moving to the Middle East to live and wanted to have some first hand experience on the ground before making that leap. This is what that looked like.
Since we had never been to New York City together, and Kendall had only spent a couple of days there before, we spent three days before heading overseas to take in as much of the city as you can in just a few days.
We spent a few days in Jerusalem when we arrived. Naturally, there was a lot to see. Too much for just a few days.
We spent most of our time on the west bank of the Jordan river in Bethlehem. We worked for Bethlehem Bible College doing some construction work, so we didn't take too many pictures. I didn't even get a good picture of the Church …
We made friends with the shop owner next to Bethlehem Bible College who invited us to Hebron to see the Oak of Abraham and the Tomb of the Patriarchs, meet his family and have an awesome lunch.
Our tour of Jordan took us to several of the country's historic and cultural sites.
